The Villa Convento offers a unique historical charm that stands out in the French Quarter. My room was well-equipped and conducive for work, featuring a comfortable bed and an efficient air conditioning system. The staff provided exceptional service, assisting me promptly with any requests I had, including arranging for my meeting necessities. The location was perfect, just steps away from numerous eating and sightseeing options.
Wi-Fi connectivity was inconsistent.

The location is fantastic with a charming ambiance, but the outdated decor and a less-than-ideal toilet made for a mixed experience. Staff were friendly and helpful, though the room could benefit from some upgrades. Nonetheless, the comfort of the bed and the quiet surroundings made it worthwhile.

would love to return
This quirky hotel in the French Quarter had a beautiful courtyard for relaxation. My room was a Queen Room with Twin Bed, featuring air conditioning, flat-screen TV, private bathroom with free toiletries, and a comfy seating area. The staff was warm and provided good coffee every morning. Location was top-notch, so close to all the hotspots!

Had an awesome time with friends! We loved the charm and the old world feel of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ventured to Bourbon Street and the Voodoo Museum, both within walking distance and super fun. A perfect spot for those looking for a unique experience!
The only downside was that the bathroom could have been cleaner, but it didn't ruin our stay overall. Just a small thing to keep in mind for future guests.

Great location near cafes, but the hotel could use some updates.

The location strikes a perfect balance, close to attractions yet away from the noise. Enjoying fresh pastries from the bakery across the street on the balcony made mornings special. However, the hot water supply was inconsistent, and the vintage elevator was quite noisy. Overall, it’s charming but be prepared for a few quirks due to its age.

The location is excellent, situated on a quiet street in the French Quarter, making it easy to explore. The nearby patisserie served delicious pastries, a perfect start to the day. While the elevator was helpful given my mobility issues, the older furnishings included some drawers off-track and occasional plumbing quirks that detracted from the overall experience. However, the staff were friendly and accommodating, enhancing the stay despite these minor setbacks.

Quirky hotel with a touch of history—loved my balcony room! Super quiet street, just a hop to the fun. Found a delicious patisserie across the road too, so breakfast sorted!
The walls are so thin, I could hear the drunks debating life at 1 AM. And seriously, my room key had a better chance of escaping than opening the door!

I loved the unique historical charm at Villa Convento. The location was spot on, just a short walk from the French Quarter and the French Market. The staff really went out of their way to be helpful, especially Triskell, who even cut up a lemon for my tea. My room was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom had plenty of towels refreshed daily. The patio area was a nice spot to relax in. However, I noticed some cleanliness issues, especially dust buildup in corners, and the common areas could use a bit of upkeep. The elevator creaked loudly, which made me a bit anxious. Still, the charm of the place made up for some of the inconveniences.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
